The Stewardship Council seeks to cultivate stewardship
Stewardship is:
So, to break it down in a nutshell, a steward is someone who manages someone else’s house (that is, all of the owner’s possessions) and ultimately God is the owner of everything that exists. The fundamental meaning of stewardship is everything we own was given to us by God (our family members and friends, our homes, and even the air we breathe) and we are all His caretakers. We hope to cultivate this ethic in our parish.
The current chair of the Stewardship Council is Nancy Holliday and can be reached at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Our Holy Father, Pope John Paull II said:
"We cannot stand idly by, enjoying our won riches and freedom if, in any place the Larzarus of [our time] stands at our doors." |
