When we use the word "Extraordinary" it is a term meant to distinguish these ministers from the "ordinary" ministers of Communion--priests and deacons.

I need 2 more EM's for the 4:30 pm Mass.
Please remember that not only will you be distributing Communion you will also be distributing ashes. Please use one of the prayers below when distributing ashes.

BIG Welcome for new Eucharistic Ministers! Let's give a BIG WELCOME to the following parishioners that have joined the Eucharistic Minister Ministry. For the 1st quarter they will be helping out as backups if we run short at any of the Masses, then starting with the 2nd quarter they will be scheduled at their particular Mass.

Eucharistic Ministers or Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are called by God to become servants to other members of the Body of Christ. The function of an Extraordinary Minister is to assist the priest in distributing the true presence of Christ to other members during the sacrifice of the Mass.
